Vancouver-headquartered Japan Gold Corp. has received approval from the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry for five prospecting rights applications over the Ohra-Takamine project in the Southern Kyushu. The Ohra-Takamine project totals 1,681 hectares covering historic gold-silver mines in the highly gold-endowed Hokusatsu-Kushikino mining district. Japan Gold is a mineral exploration company focused solely on gold and copper-gold exploration in Japan. The company has applied for 210 prospecting rights licences in Japan for a combined area of 69,505 hectares in 17 separate projects. Thirty-seven of the applications have been granted as prospecting rights.
