Canadian Solar to Provide Services, Supply Modules for Solar Farm in Australia

Guelph, ON-headquartered Canadian Solar Inc. has announced that it will partner with Tennessee’s Signal Energy to provide engineering, procurement, and constructions services and supply solar modules for ESCO Pacific’s Finley Solar Farm in New South Wales (NSW), Australia. The solar plant will be built on approximately 1,000 acres of grazing, crop, and irrigated lands near Finley. Over 490,000 of Canadian Solar’s 1500V high efficiency KuMax modules will be installed on single-axis solar tracking systems. The plant will produce enough electricity to meet the needs of more than 90,000 NSW homes and displace more than 400,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually. The project began in December 2018 and is expected to be completed in October 2019.
