Canadian Solar to Provide Services, Supply Solar Modules for Australian Solar Farm

Guelph, Ontario-based Canadian Solar Inc., one of the largest solar power companies in the world, has announced that it has been selected by Australia’s Edify Energy and UK’s Octopus Investments to partner with Signal Energy, a solar energy firm based in Tennessee, to provide engineering, procurement, and constructions services and supply solar modules for the Darlington Point Solar Farm in New South Wales, Australia. Construction will begin in March 2019 and the project will include over 820,000 Canadian Solar HiKu modules. The project is expected to reach completion in early 2020, and to produce enough electricity to meet the needs of more than 115,000 homes and displace nearly 600,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually.
