The Canada-China Business Council, headquartered in Toronto with offices in Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary, Beijing, and Shanghai, will begin its 2019 Canada-China Business Development Roadshow with stops in Wuhan on April 17 and Nanjing on April 19. The Roadshow connects Canadian businesses with potential channel partners and investors in second- and third-tier cities that drive China’s economic growth. The half-day seminars are presented in partnership with the Canadian Embassy, regional consulates general, trade offices, provincial representatives, and Destination Canada. Canadian delegates will have an opportunity to meet with Chinese companies and investors to explore opportunities for distribution, collaboration, trade, and investment. The sessions will also promote and present Canadian projects and market information to Chinese partners to establish new business connections. CCBC will work with local Chinese governments and industry associations to identify and secure pre-qualified Chinese investors and channel partners. For Canadian exporters, travel and accommodation funding, up to 75 per cent, may be available through the Global Opportunities for Associations for qualified companies.
