The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam announced that the 22nd annual Terry Fox Run, which aims to increase awareness about cancer and raise funds for oncology research, will take place on November 18. The event has supported children’s hospital systems throughout Vietnam via the Ho Chi Minh City Medicine and Pharmacy University. It also aims to establish clinical and research centres for children with cancer. Last year, Vietnam hosted the largest international Terry Fox Run, attracting more than 22,000 participants and raising over US$112,000. Today, the Terry Fox Run is organized in more than 30 countries around the world and over US$750 million has been raised through the event.
