Dr. Raghwa Gopal is a Canadian technology entrepreneur, innovation leader, and board director with a distinguished career spanning economic development, global entrepreneurship, and community leadership. He currently serves as Chair of the Board of the Jim Pattison Centre for Health Systems Learning and Innovation and served as the Vice Chair of the University of British Columbia Board of Governors, where he contributed to oversight of one of Canada’s largest public institutions with an annual budget exceeding $3 billion.
Dr. Gopal previously served as President and CEO of Innovate BC, a provincial Crown agency responsible for advancing innovation, commercialization, and technology driven economic growth across British Columbia. Earlier in his career he founded and scaled successful technology companies and played a pivotal role in transforming the Okanagan into one of Canada’s fastest growing technology ecosystems.
A passionate advocate for entrepreneurship, education, and inclusive economic opportunity, Dr. Gopal is deeply engaged in philanthropy and international collaboration through his foundation and numerous community initiatives.
