Sarah Chapman is Chief Marketing Officer for Canada Segment and Global Head of Digital Transformation and Customer Experience.
As Chief Marketing Officer for Manulife Canada, Sarah is responsible for enterprise marketing strategy, brand management, digital marketing, customer experience, and AI across Individual Insurance, Group Benefits, Affinity and Manulife Bank. She partners closely with business leaders to drive growth through integrated, customer-led marketing strategies and is leading the modernization of Manulife’s marketing capabilities, including data, technology, personalization, and omni-channel execution.
As the Global Head of Digital Transformation and Customer Experience, Sarah is responsible for driving enterprise-wide strategies that embed a customer-first culture and accelerate digital transformation. Her team uses data-driven insights to improve customer experience and delivers digital-first innovations that strengthens engagement and long-term growth.
Prior to joining Manulife, Sarah was National Director of Strategy Consulting at Deloitte and Senior Officer of Corporate Affairs (Brand Marketing, Communications, Client and Regulatory Relations & Sustainability) at Hitachi among other roles with extensive international experience across Asia, USA and Canada. She has a PhD in Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainability from the Centre for Corporate Governance at the University of Technology, Sydney (Australia), a Masters in Management from Bond University, and a Bachelor of Science from Western University (Canada).
Sarah serves as Chair of three Manulife subsidiary boards (MIML, MIX and MIMDI) as well as on the Board of UNICEF Canada and is a Faculty member at Competent Boards. She has two young daughters and enjoys golfing and skiing with her husband.
