One of our longtime CanWIN members, Susan Blanchet has had a 2023 of well-deserved success.  

Susan co-founded Origen Air in 2019 after 14 years as legal counsel specializing in contaminated sites and climate change while running a real-estate company. As CEO, she has grown her team from 2 to 16, raised over $1.2 million, filed key patents, and is now launching the North American commercialization of Origen’s first product, the Sentinel.  

In May, Susan was interviewed for the Toronto Star on her product and purified air. She has also been awarded several prestigious awards such as the 2023 WE Empower United Nations SDG Challenge for the North America and Europe region and one of eight companies to participate in the IRAP Global Cleantech Co-Innovation Program. She attended COP 28 as a women climate leader and panelist for the panel: Women Creating Innovative Solutions to the Climate Crisis.  

Susan continues to be a champion for women and gender-diverse entrepreneurs in CanWIN by advocating for members on her social media platforms and participating in panels hosted by CanWIN, such as the CanWIN Networking Roundtable in Whitehorse, Yukon.
