Donald W. Campbell

Donald Campbell is Senior Strategy Advisor to the Vancouver-based law firm Davis LLP, Chair of the Canadian Committee of the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (PECC) and a Distinguished Fellow of the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada. He was formerly Deputy Minister in the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade and Executive Vice-President of CAE Inc. In his long career in the Canadian foreign service, Mr. Campbell held posts as the Prime Minister’s Personal Representative for G-8 Summits (1997-2000); Canada’s Ambassador to Japan (1993-1997); Deputy Minister for International Trade (1989-1993); Assistant Deputy Minister (United States) (1985-1989); and Canada’s Ambassador to South Korea (1984-1985). Earlier diplomatic postings included Kenya, the United Kingdom, Jamaica and the United States.
