Anne Guérin-Lévesque

Anne’s work focuses on Canadian foreign policy and Canada–Asia relations, particularly how middle powers build influence through smart power, public diplomacy, and strategic partnerships in the Indo-Pacific. Her research has examined South Korea’s use of smart power, Canada–South Korea relations, and critical-mineral co-operation. During her internship with the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, she contributed to research and analysis on critical minerals, smart power, and broader Canada–Asia relations. Her research experience also includes science diplomacy, with work on emerging technologies, research security, and scientific advice. Anne holds a bachelor’s in International Relations and International Law, with a concentration in Chinese language and culture.
