The 6th Canada-China Energy & Environment Forum will be held in Beijing at the China University of Petroleum (CUP), October 27-28 2010. The forum is a joint collaboration between the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada and CUP. The themes of this year’s meeting are ‘Internationalization of Chinese Energy Companies: Balancing Risks & Opportunities and ‘China-Canada/North America Energy Cooperation.’
The forum aims to identify areas of joint interest between Canada, China and the United States in energy, environment and related sectors; increase awareness of the government’s role in promoting energy dialogues in all countries involved, and give the private sector a voice on their experiences in the Chinese market and their expectations from government and academics. The meeting will also lay the groundwork for an ongoing dialogue and policy discussion on the topic of Canada-China energy and environmental cooperation. This event is by-invitation.
