Canada's Asia Challenge: Now for the Hard Part

June 11, 2014 Toronto, ON

The Canadian Club of Toronto will host Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada President and CEO Yuen Pau Woo for a lunch discussion on June 11, 2014 at the Hyatt Regency Toronto. Mr. Woo will present the results of APF Canada’s 2014 National Opinion Poll: Canadian Views on Asia and will speak on the progress made by APF in building stronger relations with Asian countries over the last six years. With the growing recognition across the country that Asia is, in the words of Foreign Minister John Baird, “not an option, but an imperative”, Mr. Woo will also provide a reflection on the Foundation’s “National Conversation on Asia” and the mixed messages of optimism, fear, and puzzlement that many Canadians have expressed about trans-Pacific relations. The event will begin at 11:45 am. For more information or to register to attend, please click here.
