Jung-Yu Liao

Jung-Yu Liao received his BS and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering from National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, in 1999 and 2004, respectively. His research interest surrounded electrochemical and thin film process in general and photo-electrochemical devices and gas sensors in particular. After finishing military service in 2005, he joined Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) for working on organic light emitting diodes (OLED) related research, such as flexible substrate for display, solution-processable OLED materials, and quantum dot (QD) display related process and materials for 15 years. In 2020, he joined Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) as an R&D Principal Engineer of far-back end of line (FBEOL), working on advanced packaging projects such as InFO-oS. In 2022, he returned to ITRI as an Industrial Analyst, focusing on critical raw materials and semiconductor industry.
