September 15: Kakehashi Alumni Network Online Event: The Mind is Everything – A Zen Meditation Workshop and Dialogue
Nestled in the hills of the ancient capital of Kamakura, Engakuji Temple is one of the most important Zen Buddhist temple complexes in Japan. Founded in 1282 to serve the spiritual needs of the samurai, today Engakuji offers instruction in the practice of Zen meditation to the public. This virtual Zen meditation experience led by Engakuji Temple Zen priest Ichido Uchida will feature a meditation workshop followed by a discussion about Zen philosophy and how to incorporate Zen into our daily lives.
Hosted by the Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE). This event is open to all Kakehashi alumni and participants.
