Ayumi Yamada

Ms. Ayumi Yamada is the current acting director of the Japan External Trade Organization’s (JETRO) Toronto office. After working for notable places where she solidified her understanding of financial issues and health care-related topics, in 2014, she joined JETRO's Tokyo headquarters, canvassing multiple departments while working on a diverse range of projects related to foreign direct investment and export promotion.  

Since being assigned to the JETRO Toronto office in March 2022, she's expanded her role from export promotion to include bilateral investment promotion between Canada and Japan. She was born in Hokkaido and raised in Sapporo.
