Captain Suoek Lee

Captain Suoek Lee is the Director for North America Cooperation at the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) of the Republic of Korea. He has held key leadership roles across major naval acquisition and advanced technology programs, including serving as Head of the Fast Patrol Craft Program Team (2021–2022) and leading the Future Technology Development Task Force within the KSS-III Submarine Program Group (2023–2023).

Since January 2024, he has overseen DAPA’s defence cooperation portfolio with North American partners. Captain Lee graduated from the Korea Naval Academy and holds a master’s degree in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering from Seoul National University, where he also completed doctoral coursework.
