Karen Jimeno

Atty. Karen Jimeno is the Director and Chief Legal Counsel of SofCap Partners PE. She previously served as Undersecretary for Legal Affairs and Priority Projects at the Department of Public Works and Highways and as Undersecretary for Disaster Resiliency at the Presidential Management Staff under the Office of the President. 

She has also worked as a news anchor and columnist and teaches in the Master of Laws program at the San Beda University Graduate School of Law. Atty. Jimeno has also moderated conference discussions involving mining and sustainable development, including sessions related to sustainable mining practices and investment-driven economic growth. 

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities and Management from the University of Asia and the Pacific, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of the Philippines, a Master of Laws from Harvard Law School, and a Master of Development Practice from the University of California, Berkeley. She is admitted to practice law in the Philippines and in New York, United States.
