Major-General Fabian Pedregosa

Commander, Strategic Command, Armed Forces of the Philippines

Major-General Fabian Pedregosa currently serves as the Commander of the Strategic Command of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. He also served as the Commander of the Air Defense Command of the Philippine Air Force. Prior to this, MGen. Pedregosa was previously appointed as the Chief of Staff of the Philippine Air Force in 2022. He was also the former Wing Commander of the 580th Aircraft Control and Warning Wing in 2021 and the 5th Fighter Wing in 2017.

He has completed various military courses worldwide, including the Flight Safety Course at the U.S. Air Force Safety Center in New Mexico, USA, and the Senior Strategic Leadership Program at the United Kingdom's Defence Academy. He also participated in many international military exercises, most notable of which are the Disaster Preparedness and Response “Tempest” Exercise in Cambodia, and Multi-nation, Combined and Large Force Employment Exercises such as “Pitch Black” Exercise in Australia, “Maple Flag” Exercise in Canada, and “Red Flag” Exercise in Alaska, USA.

MGen. Pedregosa has also won various awards and commendations, including the Order of Lapu Lapu, Outstanding Achievement Medal, Distinguished Service Star, Distinguished Aviation Cross, Gawad sa Kaunlaran, Silver Cross, Meritorious Achievement Medal, and Distinguished Service Medal.

MGen. Pedregosa obtained his Master’s in Management and Public Administration from the Asian Institute of Management and the Development Academy of the Philippines, respectively. He was a member and graduate of the PMA “MAAALAB” Class of 1993. He also graduated at the top of his Undergraduate Pilot Training and received the Secretary of National Defence Award at the Philippine Air Force Flying School.
