Rajinder Singh Bhatia

Rajinder Singh Bhatia is an Army Veteran and a prominent defence industry leader in India with over 50 years of experience. He is currently the President of SIDM and a member of the CII National Council. Bhatia is the Chairman of Kalyani Strategic System Limited (Defence Business Subsidiary of Bharat Forge Limited) at Kalyani Group. He is also the Chairman of Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited, KRAS (a joint venture between Rafael and KSSL).

Under Bhatia, Kalyani Group has been at the forefront of the Atma Nirbhar effort in the country, forging partnerships with major defence and aerospace OEMs worldwide, and is today a leading force in the defence & aerospace landscape in India.

He has been a key member of the Strategic Policy initiatives and policy taskforce as part of government-sponsored bodies for Defence & Aerospace. Additionally, he has featured in ‘50 Manufacturing Innovative Leaders’ and was also awarded ‘Best CEO of the Year’ for ‘Excellence and Leadership in Innovation’ at the Golden Star Awards in 2021.
