Regina Lay

Regina Lay is a business and economic news editor and news anchor for Cignal TV, Inc., where she co-anchors The Big Story, the network’s primetime daily newscast. She is also an At-Large Board Member of the Asian American Journalists Association and a fellow in the Jefferson Fellowship program at the East West Center. Prior to her current occupation, she served as a senior news editor for PumaPodcast, a podcast that highlights Filipino news and stories. She also served as a news anchor and later, the head of news for Bloomberg TV Philippines.

During her time under Cignal TV, she was also part of the team that oversaw business and economic coverage for One News, while delving into political issues and international affairs, particularly in geopolitics and the South China Sea. Ms. Lay also hosts rolling coverage and important events, one of which is their broadcast of the 2022 Philippine national elections and state of the nation addresses (SONAs).

Ms. Lay obtained her Master’s Degree in Business and Economic Reporting from New York University and her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Arts from De La Salle University Manila.
