Yonggi Kim

Dr. Yonggi Kim is an Associate Research Fellow at the Science and Technology Policy Institute (STEPI) in Korea. He received his B.Sc. from POSTECH and PhD from Seoul National University. He was a researcher at the Yonsei University Social Science Research Institute, a senior researcher at the Korea Institute of Public Finance, and served as a project officer for UNDP YSLME. 

His main research interests include emerging technology industry innovation policy, the AI chip industry, deep-tech ecosystems, and international collaboration. His recent publications include: “Fostering measures through analysis of the growth factors of domestic AI semiconductor companies” (2024), “A Study on Global Critical and Emerging Technologies Co-operation Strategy in the Indo-Pacific Region” (2024), and “A Study on Collaborative Approaches to Building a Strategic Economic and Technological Partnership between Korea and the United States” (2023).
