Event: An Update on Bangladesh
John Richards, an economist teaching in the SFU Public Policy School and a scholar in residence at the C.D. Howe Institute, is presenting the political economy of Bangladesh, its recent history, social policy and expansion of the garment sector (Bangladesh is the world's second largest ready-made garment exporter after China) during this roundtable discussion.
Along with his teaching work, Richards works extensively in Bangladesh and has published numerous monographs and articles on social and economic aspects of Bangladesh and South Asia.
