Reducing the Influence of Radical Groups in Afghanistan

Lt. Col. Harjit S. Sajjan will lead a brown bag lunch discussion on "Reducing the Influence of Radical Groups in Afghanistan' at APF Canada's Vancouver office on Monday, October 27 from 12:00pm-1:15pm. Harjit Sajjan is a human security expert lecturing to a wide audience to both Canadian and US government agencies. He is also a Lieutenant-Colonel in the Canadian Army Reserves and he recently relinquished command of The British Columbia Regiment (Duke of Connaught’s Own). He has completed four operational deployments; one to Bosnia and three to Afghanistan.  His most recent deployment to Afghanistan was in November 2010 as a Special Advisor to Major-General James Terry, Commanding General of 10^th Mountain Division and to the Senior US State Representative in Southern Afghanistan.  He is credited with reducing the influence of the Taliban in Kandahar Province. For more information, or if you would like to attend, contact jillian.oliver@asiapacific.ca.
