Nathalie G. Bernardo
Nathalie G. Bernardo is the Vice President and Site Head of Sun Life Global Solutions (SLGS) Philippines, leading a multi-disciplinary global capability center that delivers technology, client care, and knowledge solutions for markets across North America and Asia.
Her 25-year career is a masterclass in professional reinvention and bold adaptability. An Industrial Engineer by profession, Nathalie began in supply chain planning at Kimberly-Clark before moving to the technology sector at Hewlett-Packard. There, she mastered the high-pressure world of after-sales support, managing complex consumer resolution and scaling operations from a small team to a massive delivery center. She then redefined her trajectory by leaping into Human Resources at Coca-Cola. Despite having no prior HR background, she strengthened her HR practice with formal training and led a regional transformation that centralized services across Asia Pacific. Following this, she expanded into global digital strategy at Accenture. She established the Philippines as the primary Cloud First delivery hub for Japan, while pioneering the industry’s first 100% virtual transition of an infrastructure delivery project into the Philippine delivery center.
Throughout these pivots, her focus has been on the universal language of transformation: building capabilities, implementing technology, driving data-driven results, and business partnering. Today, she leverages this unique combination of engineering precision, customer empathy, and strategic HR management to lead a complex global capability center. By synthesizing these diverse disciplines, she proves that transferable skills can architect comprehensive solutions across any function.
Nath distinguishes her leadership by running SLGS Philippines with people at the center. She has successfully embedded Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEI&B) into the operating cadence of the business, treating inclusion as a discipline alongside delivery metrics. Her diverse background shapes an approach that integrates wellness and psychological safety into everyday practices, driving sustained engagement and top-tier retention.
Her personal advocacy centers on developing globally competitive Filipino talent and advancing women in technology. She works with industry leaders to set standards that ensure the Filipino workforce remains world-class. Within her organization, she champions female leadership through Bright Women, an inclusion group dedicated to preparing employees for larger roles.
Nath’s leadership has earned her the Exemplary Leader Award at The Philippines Leadership Awards and the Circle of Excellence for Woman Leader of the Year at the 2025 Asia CEO Awards.
Nath holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management Engineering, minor in Chemical Engineering, and an MBA from De La Salle University (Manila, Philippines). She also earned a certificate in Managing Global Business from INSEAD (Fontainebleau, France) and a Strategic HR Practitioner certificate from Cornell University (eCornell).
