Ryan Yuen

Ryan is a Junior Programme Officer at IMPACT, a nonprofit advancing responsible natural resource management in contexts affected by insecurity and human rights challenges. Previously, he worked at the Montreal Institute for Global Security and with the Government of Canada, including at Global Affairs Canada and Public Safety Canada. Ryan holds a Master of Arts in Political Science, specializing in International Relations, from McGill University. His thesis used Taiwan as a case study to examine how state recognition shapes a state’s international engagement. He also holds a B.A. in International Relations and Law and Society from the University of Calgary. Ryan grew up in Hong Kong, Beijing, and Calgary.
