SiLang Huang is a Ph.D. student in the Political Science Department at the University of Toronto, concentrating on Comparative Politics and Public Policy, with specific research interests in the symbolic politics of authoritarian regimes, China’s transnational diaspora governance, and digital authoritarianism.
She received her master’s degree in political science from the University of Toronto. She also completed a Bachelor of Philosophy in International and Area Studies with honours from the University of Pittsburgh. Before she joined the University of Toronto, she was a Toronto-based journalist working with different community members in the Greater Toronto Area.
