The Canada-in-Asia Conference 2026 (CIAC2026), held in Singapore from February 10-11, 2026, convened business leaders, experts, investors, policymakers, researchers, and innovators from across Asia and Canada to exchange perspectives, knowledge, and ideas, around three shared priorities – food security, energy security, and infrastructure – with the goal of facilitating collaborative partnerships.
Addressing issues across the cross-cutting themes of geopolitics, investment, and technology, we’ve distilled the key takeaways from the conference’s five plenary sessions. They deal with a broad range of Canada-Asia engagement issues, namely: major economic trends in Canada-Asia relations, the pursuit of economic security amid global trade disorder, China’s evolving economic and geopolitical trajectory, the strategic infrastructure imperative across climate, security and technology, building Canada-Asia collaborative networks, and the evolving role of ASEAN in the uncertain contemporary geopolitical environment.
