The Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada’s National Conversation on Asia is pleased to support an evening to celebrate diversity, creativity and justice inspired by Asia’s first Nobel Laureate, Rabindrinath Tagore. The event, which also commemorates the centenary of Tagore’s receipt of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1913, is taking place in the George Weston Recital Hall, Toronto Centre for the Arts, 5040 Yonge Street, Toronto on November 9 at 6:30PM. The evening features music, a performance of A Woman’s Quest, adapted from Tagore’s play Chandalika, and honours awardees including CBC Radio host Matt Galloway and multi-award winning poet Dionne Brand.
