APF Canada convenes strategic dialogues and roundtables that bring together policymakers, private sector leaders, and experts from think-tanks and academia. These sessions aim to build trust, test ideas, and translate them into actionable policy recommendations at a moment when Canada’s Indo-Pacific relationships are expanding rapidly. Our dialogues are designed to be policy-relevant and action-oriented.

By engaging stakeholders in meaningful discussions, we not only deepen mutual understanding but also pave the way for innovative solutions that can inform government and private sector action. We frequently partner with local institutions and experts in the relevant countries to ensure these events reflect regional realities and priorities.

In the past year, and as part of the implementation of Canada’s Indo-Pacific Strategy, we have convened – or co-organized with like-minded partners – more than 30 gatherings, ranging from public briefings to highly focused Track 2 and Track 1.5 dialogues.

Themes spanned the full spectrum of Canada’s Indo-Pacific Strategy: Arctic and maritime security, Canada-ASEAN economic integration, the management of sensitive ties with India and China, AI governance and cyber-resilience, and the emerging linkages between Indo-Pacific and Euro-Atlantic security theatres. This thematic breadth aims to ensure that Canadian stakeholders can engage on every major file shaping the region’s future.
