Ji Woong Yoon

Dr. Ji Woong Yoon is the President of Science Technology Policy Institute (STEPI). His research expertise encompasses Technology Innovation Management & Policy, especially focusing on technology transfer, technology adoption, and R&D investment and management. Notably, he has conducted extensive research delving into the evolution of general purpose technologies, such as biotech and ICT, while maintaining a core interest in fostering entrepreneurship and tech startups.

Beyond his academic contributions, Dr. Yoon has considerable professional and hands-on experience in policy development and consultation. His current official assignments include membership of the policy co-ordination and policy evaluation expertise committees within the The Presidential Advisory Council on Science and Technology (PACST). He also collaborates closely with governmental bodies such as the Ministry of S&T and ICT(MSIT), and the Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy (MOTIE), serving on advisory and evaluation committees. He is also a member of National Engineering Academy Korea.
