Timothy Lawler

Tim Lawler is a Policy and Research Advisor at the Australian APEC Study Centre. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and a Master of International Studies from the University of Otago, as well as a PhD in Politics and International Relations from the University of Auckland. 

His research and professional interests focus on foreign policy, regional co-operation, and Indo-Pacific diplomacy. Tim has studied and travelled across the Asia Pacific region, experiences that continue to inform his analytical work and policy perspectives.
