Pierre Seïn Pyun
Pierre Seïn Pyun was appointed Vice President, Government and Industry Affairs at Bombardier in October 2011. He is responsible for government affairs for Bombardier in Canada and internationally. His team also manages industrial affairs for the company. A lawyer by training, Mr. Pyun has significant background in international trade, having served with the Canadian federal government from 1998 to 2011. Prior to joining Bombardier, Mr. Pyun managed sector practices and developed and implemented global commercial strategies for the Canadian government in Ottawa. He also worked at Canadian diplomatic posts in China from 2001-2009, including as a Senior Trade Commissioner at the Canadian Embassy in Beijing.
Mr. Pyun holds degrees in civil law and common law from McGill University and completed a Certificate in International Commerce at HEC Montreal. He is fluent in English, French, Mandarin, and Korean.
Mr. Pyun sits on the board of directors of several organizations, including the J. Armand Bombardier Foundation, the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada (past Chair), the Canadian American Business Council, Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters, Canada Arab Business Council and the Montreal Council on Foreign Relations. Mr. Pyun is also a lecturer (case studies) at the Max Bell School of Public Policy of McGill University.
