Dr. Iris Jin is the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada’s Program Manager, Trade, Investment, Innovation and Canada-China Relations, and a former Deputy Director with the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS).
Laurel Ostfield is the Head of Communications and Development with the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.
Ito Peng is a Professor of Sociology and Public Policy at the Department of Sociology and the School of Public Policy and Governance and the Director of the Centre for Global Social Policy at the University of Toronto, and a Senior Fellow with the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada.
Dr. Elizabeth Newton is a Registered Psychologist and writer with a strong interest in entrepreneurship. She has consulted with MSMEs across Canada and developed and taught popular entrepreneurship courses. Elizabeth is the founder of the award-winning Creators Vancouver, an online magazine.
Christine completed a Master of Public Policy with a collaborative specialization in Asia-Pacific studies from the University of Toronto in 2017.
Yany graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Science from the University of Alberta in 2016 and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree at the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs.
Peter O'Boyle holds an master's (Hons) degree in International Relations and Mediaeval History from the University of St. Andrews, and an master's degree in Political Science from the University of British Columbia, with a specialization in Asia Pacific international relations and political economy. Peter is a former Junior Research Fellow at the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada.
Jonathan Berkshire Miller is Director of Foreign Affairs, National Defence and National Security, Macdonald-Laurier Institute. Jonathan is an international affairs professional with expertise on security, defence and geo-economic issues in the Indo-Pacific. He is also concurrently a senior fellow with the Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA) and senior fellow on East Asia for the Tokyo-based Asian Forum Japan.
Miller is also the Director and co-founder of the Council on International Policy. He also holds appointments as Canada’s ASEAN Regional Forum Expert and Eminent Person (EEP) and as a Responsible Leader for the BMW Foundation. He regularly attends track 1.5 and track 2 dialogues in the region; lectures to universities, think-tanks, corporations and others across the Asia-Pacific region; and has published widely on security and defence issues.
Valentine is a former Research Analyst at the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada and currently based in South Korea.
